Mobile internet banned in Darjeeling

After Bengali was made compulsory in Darjeeling, there were disturbances, violence and as is the practice in India, mobile internet was banned in the area . Whenever there are riots or any other problem, it appears that the indian government orders that the internet be blocked, officially claiming that it will prevent further disturbances.
However most of the indian internet users are fairly well educated and are not likely to take part in any violence, which would put their life and career at risk. Blocking the internet can be very inconvenient as many businesses, citizens are using it for communication and for making money. It would be interesting to find out the internet services which were affected by the mobile internet ban.
